PIG OUT

The New Jersey Outdoor Alliance, the best local group to come down the pike ever for hunters and fisherman, has set it?s first pig roast for Saturday, July 19 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Mine Hill American Legion Post.

Cost is a reasonable $20 for all you can eat and only 125 tickets will be sold.

To get in on the fun, and support a cause we all need, contact Sam Yarosh at syarosh at njoutdooralliance.org or Craig Zincavage at zincman70 at yahoo.com. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

WARM & FUZZY?

Those cuddly creatures that Gov. Jon Corzine and his lackey, DEP chief Lisa Jackson don?t want you to hunt?

One killed a 70-year-old woman in Quebec last week. She was on a fishing trip with her husband, looking for walleye in the Theo River.

The woman became separated from her spouse and he became concerned and went to look for her. He saw his wife being dragged off by the bear, gave chase and briefly scared the beast away, but it was too late.

This was a black bear, folks. Not a big brown or a grizzly ? the kind of bears we have in New Jersey. It?s not a matter of if, but when, we have a fatality.
