Brian Bolobacs, NJOA Chair for A595 Bowhunter Safety Zone bill, has done a great job of having the bill drafted, and along with the help of Ed Markowski and Tom Connors, have gotten the bill posted to be voted on by the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committe this Thursday.

On Thursday June 12th at 2pm the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee will hear testimony on A595; the Bowhunter Safety Zone Bill.  This is a land access/land use bill; it would reduce the safety zone from 450' to 150' for bowhunting and open addition acreage to hunting on land that is already huntable.  This is desirable for organizations like NJ Audubon, NJ Conservation Foundation, and the Natural Lands Trust that have deer maintenance programs on their properties; as well as to the average hunter who has a hunting lease or hunts on State land.
