Sportsmen Rally
In October, sportsmen from across
the state rallied to protest bills
(A3275/S2041) that would change
the makeup of New Jersey’s Fish
and Game Council. This legislation
would reduce the size of the Fish
and Game Council from 11
members to seven with the council
members chosen by the governor
based on their interest in the
conservation of fish and wildlife
without any concern of residency.
Sweeney, Burzichelli and Fisher
led the effort to block the legislation.
The Third District legislators
are strong supporters of hunters
and sportsmen throughout NJ. They
will continue to make sure the
sportsmen are represented and that
this legislation is halted.
